Injury expert shares Leeds United update ahead of crunch Premier League clash v Everton

Leeds United are set to be without four players for their huge Premier League clash against Everton on Saturday afternoon, according to injury expert Ben Dinnery.

The Whites’ top scorer, Rodrigo, is out of action until the start of April with an ankle injury and joins Archie Gray, Stuart Dallas and Adam Forshaw on the sidelines (Premier injuries).

Leeds are also sweating on the fitness of Liam Cooper, Luis Sinisterra and Marc Roca. Pascal Struijk should feature, with Dinnery ranking the defender’s chances of playing at “75 per cent”.

Home comforts

Everton’s last two results and performances have shown us that they must utilise Goodison Park to their advantage. They were good value for their victory against Arsenal and will fancy their chances against a Leeds side which is currently managerless.

The result against Liverpool on Monday was a reality check and highlighted the importance of playing at home. The Reds have struggled this season but have always been impressive at Anfield. Everton’s win over the league leaders perhaps made some fans and pundits believe a positive result was possible.

Everton

Games away at Liverpool won’t define their season; Saturday’s fixture could well do. Leeds are just one point and one place ahead of Dyche’s men and are coming off of a home defeat to Manchester United.

The former Burnley boss also has a relatively clean bill of health heading into the weekend, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin the only new injury concern.

Regardless of the England international’s fitness, Three points and a convincing performance is an absolute must for Everton on Saturday.
