Future hangs in balance for Everton loanee Moise Kean as Juventus struggle continues

Everton loanee Moise Kean is facing an uncertain future at Juventus, and the next few months are very crucial for him, according to a report from Calciomercato.

The 22-year-old striker has been on loan back at the Old Lady for the past season and a half, with an obligation to complete his signing for £25m included in the deal.

His form hasn’t been great this season, having scored just six goals in 28 games this term. He has changed his agent already which is seen as an indication that he wants to leave.

Juventus will find it really hard to sell him for over £26.5m next summer if this poor form continues. The club are also hesitant on keeping him permanently as well.

The situation is a complete mess at the moment. Juventus have already paid around £5m in loan fees [La Gazzetta] and all they need is to trigger the payment which has not yet been reached.

The best-case scenario for Juve would be to sell him in the summer for a high transfer fee. Kean is still very young and he could realize his potential, but he has done little to justify the price tag.

The Toffees signed him for around £29 million for him back in 2019 [Guardian]. To be honest, deals are these are why Everton are struggling at the moment. The move didn’t work out for him at Goodison Park, and there’s no way he would return to the Merseyside club as well.

The next few months are very crucial for Kean, and Everton will hope to recoup the chunk of the money they spent on him. Juventus have been recently docked 15 points and they are destined to miss out on a Champions League spot.

It’s a mess really, and it doesn’t look like suitors will be interested in taking a gamble on him after such a poor season.
