Hull City boss Liam Rosenior blown away by Everton loanee Tom Cannon
Hull City boss Liam Rosenior has praised loaned-out Everton attacker Tom Cannon after they drew 0-0 against Preston North End in the Championship on Saturday (18 February).
Cannon, 20, joined Preston on loan from Everton, and he has played six games for his new club. He is yet to score for Preston, but his overall performance seems to have impressed the Hull City boss.
Rosenior has hailed him as “outstanding”, saying he was “one of the best” they’ve played against so far.

“I thought Tom Cannon was outstanding, one of the best we’ve played against by far,” said the Hull City boss, as quoted by Lancashire Post.
“Alfie Jones and Sean McLoughlin, with the way we play, I trust them to deal with that. When you’re that much in control and dominant, the manager of the opposition is bound to change something.”
Bright future
Cannon is one of the brightest young players at Everton and the club must have high hopes for him.
The youngster scored 17 goals in all competitions for the academy side this season, and it became very clear that he is too good for this level.
He made his Premier League debut under Frank Lampard and also played in the FA Cup.

However, the club felt that he should move to Championship to play regularly, and the experience will help him grow as a player.
While he is yet to score, his overall performances have been good in recent matches. Sean Dyche will be very pleased to hear the comments from the Hull City boss on the youngster, and surely he might have plans for him next season.
The forward department is one area where the Toffees need to bolster next summer. Apart from signing a new striker, Dyche probably will be keen to groom the young strikers available at the club like Ellis Simms, Lewis Dobbin and Cannon.
