Sean Dyche makes his demands clear to Everton board as Jordan Pickford close to signing new deal
Everton are close to finalizing a new contract for Jordan Pickford, and the deal could be concluded before the end of this month, according to 90min.
The Toffees are in advanced talks over the new deal for the 28-year-old. Sean Dyche has made it clear to his new bosses that keeping Pickford is key for the club.
Pickford’s current deal is due to expire in 2024, but as it stands he is set to sign a long-term contract at the club, despite the fact the Toffees are battling against relegation.
Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham were all considering a move for Pickford in the summer, but the goalkeeper is happy at Everton and impressed with the arrival of Dyche.

Pickford is one of the rare standout performers at Everton in the past couple of years, but he has shown great commitment and loyalty.
It’s a win-win situation for the Toffees as well. Even if the Toffees get relegated, and rival Premier League clubs make an attempt to sign Pickford, they will have to pay a high transfer fee to get him.
But Pickford is probably convinced that Dyche is the man who can take the club to Premier League safety. Given his quality, he could have easily joined a club that can offer him European football, but Pickford’s loyalty should be an inspiration for other players at the club.
