Sean Dyche view on Jordan Pickford shared amid imminent Everton development
Sean Dyche has been impressed with Jordan Pickford’s application and attitude as the Everton keeper gets set to sign a new deal at Goodison Park, according to the Daily Mail.
Sky Sports journalist Rob Dorsett has suggested (22 February) the 28-year-old is set to put pen to paper on a new contract next week.
The Daily Mail have since suggested (22 February) the former Burnley boss has been pleased with Pickford since arriving at Goodison Park.
“The news will be a boost to Sean Dyche, who has been impressed by the player’s attitude and application since he took over as manager last month,” they wrote.

Pickford’s new contract is a clear indication of just how much belief he has in the manager. The 28-year-old could’ve easily waited until the end of the season and then assessed his future, depending on what league Everton were playing their football in.
England’s number one evidently feels the Toffees will have enough to secure their Premier League survival with Dyche in charge and if they can, keeping Pickford for the coming years will be absolutely essential. He’s turned himself into a highly consistent performer in recent times and seems to have eradicated the odd rash moment in his game.
Of course, he has his issues, but on the whole, the former Sunderland man has massively improved from his early days on Merseyside. Apart from a slight error of judgement against Liverpool, Pickford has been impressive under Dyche and has bought into the way he wants to play.
