Thomas Partey update shared ahead of Arsenal Premier League clash v Everton
Thomas Partey “remains a doubt” ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League fixture against Everton on Wednesday, according to talkSPORT.
The Ghanian World Cup star returned in the Gunners’ 1-0 win over Leicester City but has yet to regain full fitness after a thigh injury.
TalkSPORT have since claimed (28 February) that the 29-year-old is a doubt for the game at The Emirates after Arteta’s recent press conference.

“He hasn’t obviously trained much, he’s only had a session and he will train today so it is what it is. He was out for a few weeks and he needs to get in a rhythm,” said the Arsenal boss (quoted by talkSPORT, 28 February).
Good news
This is by no means good news for Arsenal, but it certainly is for Everton. The Ghanian has been an instrumental part of their success this season and would certainly make life hard if he did feature.
However, there is a chance that talkSPORT have jumped the gun here. The Arsenal boss doesn’t categorically rule out the midfielder, which could mean he is trying to play mind games ahead of the fixture.

Regardless of whether Partey plays, it will be an extremely tough test of Sean Dyche’s side. The Gunners are top of the league for a reason and have responded well since their setback at Goodison Park.
The fixture on Merseyside should give the Toffees some belief as they head to North London. They know they’re capable of beating the league leaders and will need to produce a similar display. Dyche does have his own injury concerns with Dominic Calvert-Lewin now ruled out of the trip to the capital.
