Everton midfielder Amadou Onana opens door to potential exit in the future

Everton midfielder Amadou Onana has revealed that he sees himself at one of the biggest clubs in the next five years when asked about his plans.

The Belgian moved to Goodison Park in the summer and has been one of the most consistent players for the Toffees amid all the chaos.

In an interview with French media outlet So Foot, he was asked about what the future holds for him.

He responded, “I see myself having had a lot of life experiences, which will have made me learn a lot about human beings in general, as well as about myself. I see myself, God willing, in one of the biggest clubs recognised worldwide.”

Fair enough

Onana has been a grade above the rest at Goodison Park this season and it’s there for all to see just how talented a player he is.

He arrived without too much fanfare in the summer and hit the ground running.

If there is one silver lining this season, it is the performance of the Belgium international and we’re not surprised that he already has clubs queueing up to sign him.

Everton

The 21-year-old saw himself subject to late interest in January from Arsenal and Chelsea – both of whom were eyeing midfield reinforcements.

A proposal even arrived at his door from Chelsea, but he rejected a move to the Champions League outfit to stay at Everton.

However, seeing the lack of progress at Goodison Park, we will not be surprised if Onana wants to leave and a top club comes in for his services.

He seems committed to Everotn as of now but that surely will depend on whether they can help him realise his ambitions.
