Everton owner Farhad Moshiri leaves ‘infuriated’ fan out of pocket after £1900 bill
Everton owner Farhad Moshiri pulled out of an appearance at late notice this week for the FT Business of Football summit leaving an “infuriated” Everton fan with a £1900 bill, according to The Times.
The Toffees fan paid to attend the summit specifically to question Moshiri and pose questions face-to-face about the running of Everton football club.
The report claims that Moshiri cited a “calendar clash” as his reason for missing the event something which still left the troubled fan out of pocket.

“Everton’s elusive owner, Farhad Moshiri, pulled out of an appearance at this week’s FT Business of Football summit at short notice, citing a calendar clash,” as quoted by The Times. (3 March)
“His late withdrawal infuriated one Everton supporter, who had stumped up the £1,900 conference fee in order to be in a position to ask questions of the 67-year-old.”

Surprise surprise.
Old Moshiri is as elusive as they come and it seems he got another one over this poor Toffees fan with his last-minute ditching of the FT Business of Football summit.
Surely Moshiri could pull a bit of cash out of his pocket in the next transfer window to somewhat repay the fan who is now £1900 down for the month.
The Everton owner seems to have a new and bizarre story linked to himself every week at the moment and his unreliable behaviour has been highlighted yet again here.
The report from The Times does suggest, however, that there may be an investment deal with the New York-based private equity firm MSP Sports Capital on the horizon.
This is to help with the funding of the new Everton stadium but could well turn into something much more given the scrutiny Moshiri and Bill Kenwright have faced this year or maybe that is wishful thinking.
As always, all eyes are on Everton.
