Everton receive ‘superb’ new stadium boost as fresh development shared
Everton have received a “superb” new stadium boost as service installations that carry vital services to all areas have been brought to life.
Bespoke mechanical, electrical and public health units are currently being installed into the roof spaces of the ground floor of the West Stand.
Alan Swift, MEP Project Leader for construction partner Laing O’Rourke confessed this is the moment the new stadium is “brought to life”.

“Everton Stadium is being ‘brought to life’ by the installation of modules that will carry the vital services to all areas,” as quoted by evertonfc.com. (10 March)
“The giant steel modules will support a myriad of inter-connected cabling trays that will run through the roof spaces of all stands and on every level – enabling the distribution of power, heating, ventilation and water to all areas of the stadium.”
“This is essentially what brings the building to life,” explained Swift.
“We have a superb building, but without the services, nothing really happens.”

Tough goodbye.
It will be a tough goodbye for Evertonians the day they leave Goodison Park, a stadium that has been their home since 1892.
A fortress at times, Goodison has seen some weird, wonderful and downright questionable football played within its terraces over the years.
Nevertheless, moving to a state-of-the-art stadium is part of the evolution of football and it’s the exact step Everton needed to make to progress into the future.
It’s a move that’s good for the club and even better for the city of Liverpool, the new stadium will provide numerous jobs for Merseysiders when it’s hopefully opened in 2024.
It will even be a place to watch other sports hosted or musical events, something Goodison has rarely seen over the years.
With the new stadium making more progress as the days and months pass by, the Blues will be playing their football on the ground in no time.
It’s exciting times to be an Evertonian but fans will be hoping they are watching the club in the Premier League and not the Championship by that point.
