Everton loan star Jarrad Branthwaite shares details of conversation with Sean Dyche

Everton loan star Jarrad Branthwaite has expressed his appreciation for Sean Dyche after the pairing had a “personal” conversation following his appointment at Goodison Park.

Branthwaite is currently on loan at PSV Eindhoven and is enjoying a breakout season in the Dutch top flight with top club’s from around Europe eyeing up his signature.

Speaking to Dutch news outlet NOS on Sunday 12 March, Branthwaite shared how Dyche simply wanted to introduce himself and ask him how things were going at PSV.

“That was just after he signed with the club. He especially wanted to introduce himself and asked me how I am doing and how things are here at PSV. It was a personal conversation, which I really appreciate,” said Branthwaite on the Dyche conversation as quoted by NOS. (12 March)

It’s nice to see Dyche going out of his way to make efforts with up-and-coming Everton stars, especially ones who could be a huge part of the squad in the coming years.

Will he stay or will he go?

Branthwaite is under contract at Everton until 2025 and if the club are steered away from relegation by Dyche they will likely keep the defender.

Nevertheless, the talented youngster does seem happy in Holland and if a big bid came in for his services, the cash-strapped Toffees may look at cashing in.

This would be a fairly foolish decision though, Branthwaite looks to have all the attributes to thrive in the Premier League and could be the club’s go-to centre-back for years to come.

Another stumbling block Everton may face is convincing Branthwaite of staying at Goodison Park, especially with the attention now surrounding his name.

The allure and chance of winning trophies with a big European club are tough to turn down, as is the glitz and glamour of the UEFA Champions League.

Evertonians will be praying that the defender shuns these offers to stay and play under Dyche, who by the sounds of things, clearly sees the youngster’s potential.
