Everton want to sign Sheffield United ‘hero’ Iliman Ndiaye, Newcastle United also in pursuit
Everton are one of a number of clubs interested in signing Sheffield United striker Iliman Ndiaye, according to the Sunday Mirror.
Ndiaye, 23, has 12 goals to his name in the 2022/23 campaign and has been an instrumental figure in the Blades’ bid to return to the Premier League.
The Senegalese striker was the hero for the Saudi-owned club as they knocked Tottenham Hotspur out of the FA Cup at the start of the month (1 March).

The Sunday Mirror claim the Toffees, West Ham and Newcastle United are all keeping tabs on the versatile forward, who was Sheffield United’s “goalscoring hero” in their FA Cup win over Tottenham on 1 March.
Top-flight ready
Ndiaye is ready-made for the Premier League – and if the Blades fail to secure promotion, he will almost certainly be snapped up. The 23-year-old is exactly the type of player Everton should be targeting.
He’s proven in the Championship and is at an age where he can develop if he did move to Goodison Park. However, survival is the primary goal at present. Sean Dyche will have his transfer targets, but they will depend largely on which division Everton are playing their football in come the season’s end.

The 1-0 win over Brentford was absolutely vital. The Bees have always been a stubborn opponent and a clean-sheet victory is an impressive feat. The 4-0 loss to Arsenal looks like a distant memory and it’s a timely reminder to take each game as it comes.
If Everton can put an unbeaten run together, then we could potentially start discussing serious transfer targets ahead of the 2023/24 season.
