Sky Sports share update on Everton stadium at Bramley Moore Dock

Everton are reportedly likely to move into their Bramley Moore Dock stadium in late 2024 or early 2025 instead of the start of that season.

Sky Sports claim that the club have never said that the 2023/24 season would be the last one that’s going to be played at Goodison Park.

There are good chances that the first game of the 2024/25 campaign will not be played at the new stadium.

The presenter on Sky Sports said, “Everton’s proposed new stadium at Bramley Moore dock is expected to be opened for season 2024/25 but there is a possibility the club will move in mid-season.

“While there is a chance that it could be ready in time for the start of the 2024/25 season, the likelihood is that it could be between October and the turn of the year when it’s officially read to stage league games.

“Everton have never really said that next season would be the last at Goodison Park and haven’t put a firm date on the move.”

Delays incoming?

The thing with new stadiums is that they’re seldom ready on time and Everton have done a convenient thing by not promising anything.

Supporters would be on their doorstep demanding reasons for them not living up to their deadlines and as usual, their protests would fall on deaf ears.

The chances of it being ready by 2024 are very slim and the likelihood of it being done before the end of that season is also not that high.

Everton

They may have a part of it ready for the final few home games just to live up to the date that’s been circulating in the media but that’s going to be about it.

It does look impressive from whatever work that’s done and there are never-seen-before glimpses of the stadium that are absolutely breathtaking.

Right now, the Everton fans and players will be focusing on staying in the top flight rather than what happens a couple of years down the line.
