Fabrizio Romano: £24.6m windfall to head to Everton within months as Moise Kean speaks out
Everton will receive £24.6million (€28m) from Juventus at the end of the season when Moise Kean’s transfer is officially rubber-stamped, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Guardian journalist reported via his personal Twitter account on Friday morning (31 March) that Juve have “already triggered the buy option” to turn Kean’s loan stay in Italy into a permanent one.
Romano also shared some quotes from the 23-year-old forward’s interview with Corriere dello Sport.
Romano’s translation isn’t the best but it’s Kean likely said: “I’m now clear on what it means to play for Juventus — there’s a staff with four specialists to help me to become a top player.”
Plenty of money
Everton’s financial situation is widely publicised so getting any money they can to get the Premier League off their backs at the moment is a win.
It’s especially a win when Juventus are buying Kean from us for so much money when his contribution at Goodison Park has been next to nothing.
It is a shame that it didn’t work out for Kean because he arrived on Merseyside with a lot of hype blowing him across the English Channel.

He’s since been loaned out and played regularly for Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus, so it’s clear that his heart was either never in it at Goodison or just the English lifestyle – or style of football – didn’t suit him.
We wish him all the best at Juventus, where he’s played 34 times in all competitions this season and scored seven goals.
He’s still a young lad and he’s bound to improve if he keeps applying himself.
