Demarai Gray starts, Ellis Simms on the bench – Confirmed Everton XI v Tottenham Hotspur
Everton have named an unchanged starting lineup for the Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur tonight at Goodison Park.
Ellis Simms is named on the substitutes bench despite his goal against Chelsea last time out to earn the 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge, while Ben Godfrey continues at left-back ahead of Vitalii Mykolenko.
Seamus Coleman gets the nod ahead of Nathan Patterson on the right too who is absent from the squad, while Alex Iwobi starts on the right wing with a central midfield of Idrissa Gueye, Amadou Onana and Abdoulaye Doucoure.
Momentum
There is fantastic momentum within the Everton squad right now, having gone three games unbeaten under Dyche with a win over Brentford sandwiched between draws against Nottingham Forest and Chelsea.
Importantly those draws came away from home, but the team is now back in front of the brilliant Blues fans at Goodison and they’ll be pushing them all the way to get a big win.
Tottenham are potentially there for the taking too, having sacked Antonio Conte during the international break after his outburst following their draw with Southampton.

They’ll have an inexperienced boss in the dugout and while they certainly have more individual quality than us on paper, they have struggled with their performances and we should be confident of getting a result.
A win would be absolutely huge in the battle against relegation, but a draw would not be a bad result either so avoiding defeat has to be the priority for the team today.
