Ian Wright makes prediction ahead of Everton v Tottenham Hotspur Premier League clash

Ian Wright believes Everton have every chance to get something from the game when they host Tottenham Hotspur at Goodison Park on Monday.

The Toffees will be taking on Spurs for the first time since they sacked their manager Antonio Conte after a public outburst about how things were behind the scenes at the London outfit.

A win for Sean Dyche’s side will be a giant step in the right direction and he will be hoping that their good run of form at home continues against the top four contenders.

Speaking on the Kelly and Wrighty Show, Wright said [03/04, 14:47], “They can get something given the strength of their midfield. Will be interesting to see which Spurs side turns up.”

There for the taking

Spurs are a soft team that are known to crumble if things do not go their way from kick off and the hostile Goodison Park crowd will make it a nightmare for them.

If Everton start strongly and win the first set of physical battles, the crowd is going to be riled up and if the hosts edge an early goal, then it’s going to be a dream atmosphere.

This season has not gone to plan but that’s not on Dyche and since he’s taken over, there have been a number of improvements.

The players have responded well to the new man in charge and it’s pretty clear that his tactics are successfully getting the best of this group of players.

It’s fair to say that it’s not the most pleasing way to play, especially to fans that enjoy fast-paced games, but staying up is the priority for the Toffees.

Alan Myers has shared the latest on the club’s financial troubles and that’s another thing that must be on the back of the mind of the players.
