Gabriel Agbonlahor backs Everton ace Dele Alli publicly as awful images emerge
Gabriel Agbonlahor has defended Everton ace Dele Alli publicly after an image emerged of him inhaling a balloon surrounded by laughing gas cannisters.
The former England international has returned from his loan with Besiktas last week after picking up a hip injury, ruling him out for the rest of the season and cutting short his time in Turkey.
But with many concerned about how his career has panned out in recent years, Agbonlahor defended the 26-year-old and blasted the person who leaked the image as a “scumbag”.
“Give Dele Alli a break,” he wrote on his personal Twitter account (10 April).
“Scumbag friend stitching him up.”
Where did it go wrong?
Dele Alli was seen as the next superstar of English football, and it was well warranted considering his goal record and achievements at such a young age.
But suddenly it all just stopped clicking for the former MK Dons man and he has never truly been able to recover from it or adapt.

His time at Tottenham came to an end abruptly and when he got to Goodison Park under Frank Lampard it was supposed to be his resurrection. But even his hero couldn’t get him firing and he only started one game.
In Turkey he started well but they stopped playing him when his performances dropped off and now nobody knows where his future lies, including himself and Everton.
This is just another issue in a long line of problems for Dele in recent times, and nobody even truly knows how it all started to go so wrong so quickly.
At this point, you have to just feel sorry for him.
