Everton can easily afford transfer of Inter Milan forward Joaquin Correa

Everton can reportedly match Inter Milan’s asking price for Joaquin Correa as can West Ham and Aston Villa who are also keen on signing him.

According to Inter Live [17 April], he was valued at £31million back in 2021 but now the Serie A side will accept a bid in the region of £13.2million as well.

The Argentina forward does appear likely to leave the club in the summer and there are clubs from outside England also keen on his services.

Worth considering

If for that price, the Toffees are getting a player who’s featured along side Lionel Messi and has scored some important goals in his career, they must consider it.

At 28, he may not be the youngest of options out there, but he’s certainly a talented player who’s going to strengthen the playing eleven.

Unlike Dominic Calvert-Lewin, he’s more mobile and can run the channels and often drag defenders wide to make space for others to attack in central areas.

He’s also got a sharp footballing brain and that’s vital for players in any position, given the demands of the modern game.

Everton desperately need a striker and if they do go down, not signing one in January will certainly be among their top three problems.

The Toffees have already made an approach for the Argentine so they are pretty serious about their interest in securing his services.
