Everton set for imminent new investment with Bramley-Moore Dock stadium set for full funding – Alan Myers

Everton is set for “imminent” new investment with Farhad Moshiri expected to get full funding for the Bramley-Moore Dock stadium, according to Sky Sports reporter Alan Myers.

The Athletic (17 April) shared that 777 Partners have a serious interest in investing in the Toffees, and their interest remains “active” alongside MSP Sports Capital.

It is said that 777 Partners are in the early process of exploring the purchase of the Merseyside club, and Myers has now shared that changes at the top of the club are expected to follow any injection of cash into Everton.

“Moshiri knows how the fans feel and he is trying to address the situation behind the scenes,” Myers wrote in his Everton Reporter’s Notebook.

“New investment is, I’m told, imminent; the new stadium will be fully funded and changes at the top of the club will follow.

“All these things are necessary but they’re not easy to achieve in the current climate. Uncertainty over the club’s place in the Premier League doesn’t help that, but make no mistake – the owner is aware of what’s needed.

“He knows he needs to act.”

Finally

After months and months of uncertainty, it finally feels like Everton fans could be about to witness some change at the top of the tree.

It has previously been reported that Moshiri doesn’t want to sell Everton just yet, but the emergence of 777 Partners – who also have stakes in Hertha Berlin, Genoa and Standard Liege – may just have altered his thinking.

With the club’s Premier League status in real jeopardy, the FFP investigation potentially resulting in further financial ramifications or points deductions, and the Bramley-Moore Dock stadium in dire need of investment, Moshiri may actually have no choice but to act.

If either 777 Partners or MSP Sports Capital are willing investors and happy to take action quickly, Moshiri may well just decide that enough is enough amid the brewing storm at Goodison Park.

The supporters have vented their frustrations at the current regime time and time again this season, and it looks like their wishes could be about to come true.
