Bill Kenwright exit could be days away at Everton as investment news emerges

There could finally be some very big changes in the boardroom at Everton between now and the end of the Premier League season.

It was reported on 01 May by Paul Joyce that investment is close at the Toffees, and it will inevitably lead to some directors moving on their own accord.

Bill Kenwright is the biggest official named, with his position clearly under threat as Farhad Moshiri looks to welcome new investors and big changes.

Moshiri is said to be ready to involve an “enormous” amount of capital to get an investment deal over the line and a financial announcement is expected before the end of the season.

Kenwright and Denise Barrett-Baxendale could be the first names on the chopping block with Grant Ingles another one potentially moving on.

This doesn’t deal with the problem of Moshiri himself, but getting new investors on board should see his stake get smaller with the future potential of him being bought out.

Kenwright has got it all wrong for many seasons now, and his poorly-timed statement in the past week certainly did not help his cause as struggles continued on the pitch.

That led to fans calling for him to leave yet again, and that vision may soon become a reality for Everton fans, with similar problems at clubs such as Leeds right now.

With less than one month left in the Premier League season, 26 days to be precise, we could see some wholesale changes at boardroom level should Moshiri get this deal over the line with MSP Sports Captial or any other party.

Change has been needed for quite some time now, and this would only be the start, with many more exits needed to transform the club from top to bottom.
