Shady investment news not good look for Everton as Alisher Usmanov news emerges
A large shadow is being cast over the top of an already gloomy Goodison Park this week as news on Alisher Usmanov appeared to emerge out of nowhere at Everton.
The Guardian has reported that the Russian Oligarch funded the club for six months while being barred from the United Kingdom by the Home Office.
It is shared by the newspaper on their website that the Toffees insist they have done nothing wrong legally, although this continues to drag the club through the mud.

Sponsorship deals through the companies of Usmanov were said to be pumping millions into the club over 2021 and 2022 before those ties were cut eventually.
Everton insisted it had no legal ties to cut connections before they did, and that they have not breached any Premier League rules at the same time.
This comes on top of the shared news of a £150million investment loan from Rights & Media Funding Limited, a company with no employees, phone number or website, it is reported.

Shady.
Not being able to cut ties fully with Usmanov despite the time that has passed since that was announced, just shows that something is not quite right.
It is not expected as it never usually happens, but a comment from Farhad Moshiri, especially at such a time of turmoil would go a long way to ease some fears.
At a time when the club is under investigation from the Premier League due to Profit and Sustainability regulations, and with the possibility of a points deduction and relegation, this is the last thing that needed to come out.
Something is not right at the moment and Moshiri seems to be at the heart of most of that, with Everton in real danger of being dragged through the mud even further.
Despite the fact that the club insist they have done nothing wrong, the same is said about the Premier League charge, so this will spark real fear that another investigation could be on the way.
