Huge investment news emerges at Everton – Finance Expert
We’re delighted to welcome football finance expert Dr Daniel Plumley as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Everton...
Dan Plumley has insisted that due diligence is well underway as a “huge part” of any potential investment, as MSP Sports Capital remain on the table.
The American consortium and some of their representatives have watched games at Goodison Park this season, and have visited the Bramley-Moore Dock site too.
The finance expert admitted it was the right thing to do and it is no surprise to see that taking place given they could be on the verge of signing off on a new investment.

“It’s absolutely a huge part of any financial decision,” he exclusively told Goodison News.
“It is the right thing to do as well, you do your due diligence on the club and on the finances and everything you can see in the paperwork, but you have to get a feel for the place as well.
“Especially with Everton as well at the minute with the new stadium, you want to go and see that, you want to look at the plans moving forward and you want to immerse yourself in as much as you can about that club, and that is just good business practise.
“It is no surprise to see that taking place, and absolutely the right thing to do if you’re going to invest in that club and move it forward, you need to know what you’re getting into it.”

This has been coming for quite some time now, but it appears to be dragging.
It has been called for by fans for months now, and Moshiri is finally listening, with the potential of a full takeover getting rid of the entire board mouth-watering.
For now, it looks like an minority investment, but that is certainly something to keep an eye on at Everton.
