Referee Anthony Taylor to keep close eye on Jordan Pickford in Everton v Man City because of what he does
Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has been sent a warning about time-wasting ahead of the clash against Manchester City on Sunday (14 May).
It comes due to the presence of Anthony Taylor for the upcoming Premier League clash, with the referee showing 14 yellow cards for the offence this season.
It is the most of any referee, with nine of the cautions dished out to goalkeepers, including one for Ederson against Arsenal earlier this season.

“Anthony Taylor is the strictest referee when it comes to time-wasting in the Premier League – he shows no patience for it,” Jones wrote for Sky Sports.
“He has shown 14 yellow cards for that offence this season – the most of any referee – with nine of those for goalkeepers. That’s six more than any other Premier League referee has produced for goalkeepers wasting time.
“He even booked Ederson after just 36 minutes in Manchester City’s win at The Emirates. He’ll be keeping a close eye on Pickford from those restarts.”

Time-wasting expected at Goodison
Time-wasting can definitely be expected at Goodison Park this weekend if one side takes a narrow lead in the game.
Either the visitors will be taking their precious time in order to secure points to extend their lead at the top of the table, or there will be the more likely scenario of the home side taking as much time as possible to hold on to what they’ve got.
A win would be absolutely immense for the Toffees, but a draw would also be a very promising result given the calibre of the opposition.
Pickford won’t be the only one taking his time with and without the ball should Everton find themselves in a favourable position against Pep Guardiola’s side, but they will be fully aware that Taylor will quickly clamp down on any such nonsense.
A yellow card for the Toffees goalkeeper or any of his teammates for the offence will, however, be of little worry to Sean Dyche if his side end up leaving Goodison having come out on top.
