Dominic Calvert-Lewin sends two-word message ahead of Everton Premier League clash v Manchester City

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has sent a two-word message ahead of Manchester City’s Premier League clash against Everton on Sunday.

Sean Dyche’s side host Pep Guardiola’s men just one place and one point above the bottom three after Saturday’s results.

A win will take Everton back above Nottingham Forest and on the brink of Premier League survival with Wolverhampton Wanderers and Bournemouth to come. Ahead of the fixture at Goodison Park, Calvert-Lewin has taken to Twitter (13 May).

“Goodison! Tomorrow,” wrote the in-form striker.

Massive

Anything against City on Sunday will be absolutely massive. Everton aren’t expected to muster anything against the Premier League leaders. The performance against Brighton has brought a new-found positivity around Goodison Park and there’s now a genuine belief that survival can be secured.

With Wolverhampton Wanderers and Bournemouth to come, the run-in doesn’t look like the most daunting prospect for the Toffees. With Leeds facing off against West Ham and Tottenham and Forest playing Arsenal, Everton’s rivals are all likely to drop points.

It’s now looking like the 35-point mark will be the target. Goodison Park can be a hard place to visit when it’s at its best and the fans will play a massive part if the Toffees do come away with a positive result against City. Arsenal will be hoping Dyche’s side can produce something similar to when the Gunners visited Merseyside earlier on in the 2022/23 season.
