BBC Sport pundit Paul Robinson wowed by ‘brilliant’ Adama Traore after what he did in 1-1 Everton draw v Wolves
BBC Sport pundit Paul Robinson was left stunned after what Adama Traore did for Wolves’ first goal in the 1-1 draw against Everton at the Molineux Stadium on Saturday [20 May].
In what was a crucial test for the Toffees in their attempts to pull four points clear of the relegation drop zone, Sean Dyche’s men rallied around to claim a crucial draw after Yerry Mina’s last-gasp equaliser.
Everton had a host of chances to take the lead but Wolves countered when Traore ran almost the length of the pitch before his low shot was pushed away by Jordan Pickford before Hwang Hee-chan fired the rebound into the back of the net.

And speaking on BBC Sport’s Five Live Radio commentary [20 May: 3:36 pm] of the game, he said:
“Absolutely brilliant from Adama Traore.
“Everton were in comfortable possession and then when Traore picks up the ball he runs the length of the field, leaves six or seven Everton players in his wake on his way to the attacking third.
“No one laid a glove on him, Traore how quick, wow.
“There’s nothing Pickford can do, and Hwang has the easiest of tasks to put his side ahead.”
Superb
It was quite a superb run from Traore in which the Everton defenders simply could live with.
The Toffees were absolutely dominant before Wolves’ opener and could certainly have been two goals ahead had they been clinical enough.

When you’re down fighting at the bottom of the table, you simply have to put your chances away and Everton simply failed to do so.
Dyche’s men may have claimed a crucial draw but their safety is not secured after this result and have been plunged into further peril when Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Nathan Patterson both went off with injuries in the first half.
Dyche will be praying that they aren’t out for too long as the club face a rather testing week in their quest to secure Premier League safety. Can Leeds United capitalise against West Ham on Sunday?
