Gary Neville reacts after what he saw Sean Dyche do in Everton 1-0 win v Bournemouth

Gary Neville has reacted after Sean Dyche was left fuming with one Everton player in the 1-0 Premier League win v Bournemouth.

Abdoulaye Doucouré’s strike means the Toffees are now safe for another season, with Leicester and Leeds United the two teams relegated.

Talking on Sky Sports commentary, Neville reacted to a poor piece of play from Alex Iwobi which left Dyche seething.

“Dyche is fuming with Iwobi,” said Neville (Sky Sports 18:16, 28 May).

“Keep the ball!”

Huge

That could be an absolutely huge moment in Everton’s history. There’s so much going on behind the scenes which could have been majorly impacted by Championship football. Now the Toffees are safe, the potential takeover can now start gathering momentum.

It’s time for the board to take a long and hard look at themselves and ensure that another relegation battle doesn’t occur again next season. The last two years have been absolutely calamitous for the football club.

The fans deserve better and, quite frankly, they’re sick to death with how the board have gone about their business.

Farhad Moshiri has to relinquish control and allow for a new majority shareholder to become the dominant force on the blue side of Merseyside. There’s so much to look forward to with the new stadium on the horizon. This club has the potential to compete with the biggest and best.

This had to be the last time Everton fight for their lives.
