Jamie Carragher predicts Everton announcement in next 24 hours regardless of Bournemouth result
Jamie Carragher has predicted an announcement to be made in the morning in relation to changes required at Everton.
Sean Dyche’s men know that a win over Bournemouth this afternoon will see their league status secure for the 2023/24 season.
Speaking ahead of the game, Carragher has predicted change to occur at the top of Goodison Park in the coming days.

“It is a poorly run club, and I do believe that whatever happens tonight, I think there’s going to change at boardroom level, and they’ve got to be announced tomorrow morning,” said Carragher (Football Daily, 28 May).
“No matter what league Everton find themselves in. It looks like there’s going to be different ownership and the Moshiri is going to get out.
“He’s put a lot of money in and it hasn’t gone well. It may be difficult for him to tell certain people to move on [Bill Kenwright and Denise Barrett-Baxendale to move on.
“I think with new ownership, that will happen. Those messages need to be sent to supporters tomorrow morning.”
Needed
We all know change needs to occur at the top of the club. Carragher is right, regardless of today’s outcome, the Toffees must ensure they make an announcement of some sort in the coming days. The fanbase want clarity over the club’s situation.
A takeover is nearing completion and the sooner MSP Sports Capital can take some sort of control, the better. For far too long, Everton have been mismanaged and floundered near the bottom of the Premier League. It’s essential that the players don’t let the occasion get to them.

Dyche’s men just need to get the job done. Bournemouth will be a tricky opponent and if Everton are slightly off the boil, they will be punished.
The Cherries have enjoyed a fantastic return to the top flight and have proved many experts and pundits wrong over the past year.
An early goal would be welcomed. It would settle the nerves and put Everton in an excellent position. Let’s hope for a positive outcome by Sunday evening.
