Jordan Pickford ‘furious’ with Everton teammate James Tarkowski after incident in win v Bournemouth
Jordan Pickford was “furious” with Everton teammate James Tarkowski after the defender made an error that almost led to a Bournemouth goal in their clash on Sunday (28 May).
The centre-back gave the ball away cheaply in the first half of the Premier League match at Goodison Park.
Fortunately for Tarkowski, his fellow defender Yerry Mina blocked Dominic Solanke’s shot shortly after to keep the score at 0-0 going into half-time.

“Jordan Pickford is furious with James Tarkowski,” Warnock said on BBC Radio 5 Live, as quoted by BBC Sport.
“He knows he has made an error. Yerry Mina makes a huge challenge and it’s a brilliant block to deny Dominic Solanke.”

Poor error
It was a poor moment from Tarkowski, who really cannot afford to make such mistakes in such a high-profile match.
Fortunately his Everton teammate helped him out and prevented the error from becoming any more than what it was.
The home fans are unsurprisingly nervous given their current predicament, with three points really all anyone associated with the club wants right now in order to make sure they control their own Premier League destiny.
Tarkowski has been a superb signing for the Toffees, with the defender one of the few Everton players who can hold their heads high after this miserable campaign is drawn to a close.
It, therefore, would have been a real shame if his error would have ended up being one of the major reasons that Everton went down.
But it was the heroics of outcast Mina who saved him, with the centre-back proving why Dyche was right to bring him back into the fold recently.
