Everton want to sign RB Leipzig midfielder Tom Krauß – Sky Sports
Everton are interested in a move for RB Leipzig midfielder Tom Krauß, according to Sky Sports Germany.
Sky Sports Germany reported on Monday 29 January that the 21-year-old has no future with Leipzig as a regular starter. It’s believed the Bundesliga side are happy to let him depart in the summer.
RB are looking for a fee in the region of £5million for the German under-21 international. Mainz and Borussia Mönchengladbach are both interested along with Everton.

Krauß has spent the 2022/23 season on loan with Schalke 04.
Astute
Change of tact
A move for Krauß would represent a serious change of tact from the board, which could be welcomed. For too long, Everton have been known for dishing out ridiculous contracts to players who are beyond their best. Dele Alli for example, what exactly was Farhad Moshiri thinking with that signing?
The 27-year-old has stolen a living off the Toffees since securing his move to Goodison Park. It will be interesting to see what Sean Dyche does with the former Tottenham sensation. Neal Maupay was another baffling decision, Everton needed a prolific goalscorer, he was certainly not the answer.

It’s time for the board to be far more astute in their work. They must look to sign players who can be developed during their time at Goodison Park. Krauß fits the bill. He’s a player who is young and looking to play regularly. Furthermore, due to RB Leipzig’s desire to sell, a move could well be on the cards.
