PSV Eindhoven want Jarrad Branthwaite amid £6m Goodison Park twist
PSV Eindhoven will only consider buying Jarrad Branthwaite if Everton lower their valuation of the English defender, according to ED journalist, Rik Elfrink.
According to ED (26 May), the Eredivisie side want the 20-year-old central defender permanently after an impressive loan spell.
However, Elfrink now claims on 2 June (AD Football podcast, relayed by PSV fans.Nl) that PSV would only be willing to pay in the region of £6million.

It’s believed Everton are looking for £12million for the central defender.
“Yes, it should cost 13.5 million,” said Elfrink
“Unless Everton drops six or seven million. I don’t think he will come back.”
In contention
Branthwaite simply has to be in contention next season. He’s learnt a lot during his spell in the Netherlands and will be an asset for Sean Dyche. The Toffees need players who are going to develop and drive the club on an upward trajectory.
The 20-year-old is one of the club’s hottest prospects. In fact, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see interest emerge from the Premier League.

A young British player who has experienced a whole season abroad is a rare commodity. With Conor Coady returning to Wolverhampton Wanderers, there’s certainly a chance for the defender to stake a claim.
Alongside James Tarkowski, he would learn and develop at an impressive rate. Everton need a change of approach in the transfer market. For too long the board have tried to be glamorous. The days of Dele Alli and James Rodriguez must be a thing of the past.
Younger players, who can develop has to be the route to go down. In Branthwaite, the board already have one on their books.
