Everton board set for change after latest ‘disgraceful act’ towards fans – Paul Brown
The Everton board have been slammed for their “disgraceful act of cowardice” in not attending another scheduled fan meeting, and “change is coming” as a result, according to Paul Brown.
The Everton Fan Advisory Board posted on Twitter Thursday (1 June) regarding their meeting with Toffees officials the night before, drawing praise from Sky Sports’ Alan Myers for their continued efforts, but revealed no board members attended.
This came after a similar lack of representation was detailed via Twitter on 10 April despite that meeting twice being rearranged, and in light of the ongoing situation at the club Brown believes there is an overhaul on the horizon.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT the ex-Daily Star reporter said: “I think, frankly, the board there have been treating Everton fans with contempt for too long.
“Not turning up to show up to the latest meeting of their fan group if they agreed to do it this week is another pretty disgraceful act of cowardice from the board.
“I think it’s time for change, and I think change is coming.”
Chorus gets louder
The broken relationship between the fans and the board doesn’t seem to be showing any signs of improving, but it would surely have a better chance of doing so if the gap was bridged at the FAB meetings.
With MSP Sports Capital investment thought to be imminently and likely to trigger moves on the board, it may be that some of the current members are replaced in the coming weeks or months.
Pundits such as Ian Wright have been scathing in their own criticism of the current regime, who were targeted with chants to go on the pitch at Goodison Park after the final whistle of the last-day escape from relegation.

It is impossible to deny that the situation at the club is uncomfortable for all involved, and while any board will come in for criticism for presiding over back-to-back relegation battles the developments in recent months between this Everton hierarchy and fanbase have seen their standing sink to a major low in the eyes of many.
Nothing will heal without contact between the two sides, and when Bill Kenwright’s most recent public statement largely went down like a lead balloon it seems like the situation is only getting worse.
Rightly or wrongly, it may be that only different figures in charge can clear the way for bridges to be mended, which is certainly what Brown expects to see soon, and he’s not alone.
