Everton Bramley-Moore dock ‘mystery’ as Farhad Moshiri demands emerge

Everton have denied that “panic rooms” have been installed within their new Bramley-Moore Dock stadium, according to the Daily Mail.

The Mail report on Sunday 4 June that Farhad Moshiri had requested the construction of the safe rooms at the cost of tens of thousands of pounds in a “perplexing” development.

It’s understood a senior source told the Mail that the Everton owner asked for the panic rooms to be equipped with protective elements including a secure communication line plus a backup electricity generator.

Drastic

This does seem slightly drastic from Moshiri. There were allegedly threats directed towards the board this season and they were asked to stay clear of Goodison Park for their own safety, however, this is surely overkill. There seems to be a lot of confusion surrounding the situation, so perhaps we should take it all with a pinch of salt.

The sooner leaves Everton the better. Evertonians have made their feelings known when it comes to the British-Iranian businessman. He’s outstayed his welcome and his daft decision-making has to be a thing of the past.

A season of consolidation and a seamless transition into the new stadium is what the fanbase is after. The last two seasons cannot be repeated. The Toffees were saved by the skin of their teeth due to some impressive firefighting skills from Sean Dyche.

They cannot continue to ride their luck near the bottom of the table. Let’s hope this summer, with a takeover in the offing, is the start of a new era at Goodison Park.
