Everton want to sign Wout Weghorst with Manchester United loan set to end
Everton are interested in signing on-loan Manchester United striker Wout Weghorst after his Old Trafford loan ended, according to talkSPORT.
Weghorst joined United on loan in January and managed just two goals in 20 appearances for the Red Devils, including a substitute appearance against Manchester City in the FA Cup final defeat on Saturday (3 June).
But with the club not interested in making his deal permanent for next season, the Toffees are now showing an interest in purchasing the striker who is contracted to Burnley for another 12 months.

“Everton are interested in signing Wout Weghorst,” they wrote on their official Twitter account (4 June).
“Manchester United do not plan to buy Weghorst permanently after his loan spell at Old Trafford, talkSPORT sources understand.”
Madness
A player who failed miserable at Burnley two seasons ago and couldn’t keep them up, then went to Turkey and struggled, then struggled at Manchester United.
He has proven that he just isn’t good enough to play at the highest level at any end of the table, and if Everton are seriously considering that type of deal to help our goal problems then we are in big trouble.

At 6ft 7 he fits the physical profile that Dyche likes in a striker, but technically he is lacking and his goal threat is next to non-existent.
We need someone who can find the back of the net consistently for us in the new season to avoid having the same issues we had last year, and that means someone with a record that can do it. Weghorst doesn’t do that.
If the club aren’t planning to spend money during this window to get in that type of player, then next season is going to be a real slog yet again and we could have problems.
