Farhad Moshiri intervenes as Bill Kenwright decides to resign from Everton board

Farhad Moshiri reportedly persuaded Bill Kenwright to stay put as part of the Everton Board of Directors amid the recent exodus.

According to the Mirror [12 June], Kenwright planned to resign along with CEO Denise Barrett-Baxendale, Grant Ingles and Blues legend Graeme Sharp.

However, the club owner told Kenwright to stay put in the short term until a replacement is found for him.

Needs to leave now

Moshiri is the main reason why Kenwright is at the club and it cannot be that because he was told to stay on, he is staying on.

Given the hatred he’s faced from the fans, Kenwright should’ve been long gone and the fact that he’s not stepping down with the others only shows how much he cares about their opinions.

The club has never been this alienated from its fanbase and Moshiri and Kenwright are two of the main reasons behind it.

It remains to be seen who the replacement is but the unfortunate thing is that Moshiri will be deciding it and he’s unlikely to make the right call.

Hopefully, when MSP finally invest in Everton or whoever else does, they get a big say on such calls and keep the owner in check.

The club are now also being sued by their former manager Carlo Ancelotti and that only sums up just how messed up this institution really is.
