Everton work on move for 18-year-old PSV sensation Isaac Babadi
Everton are working on a move for PSV sensation Isaac Babadi as Brentford also monitor the 18-year-old, according to Dutch journalist, Rik Elfrink.
The winger, who is a Netherlands under-18s international, has one year left on his current deal with the Eredivisie side.
It’s believed PSV are working ahead to keep the “top talent” but Brentford and Eintracht Frankfurt are looking to strike a deal quickly (Eindhovens Dagblad journalist, Elfrink, 14 June).

Everton are also working on a deal, however, Babadi is waiting for a contract proposal from PSV before assessing his options.

Value – that’s what Everton have to be looking for in the summer.
For too long, we have been subjected to daft transfer decisions, with large sums of money handed out to players who aren’t up to scratch. Dele Alli is on a multi-million-pound salary at present, however, the one-time Spurs prodigy is currently injured and in the doldrums at Goodison Park.
Contracts – like the one handed to Alli – have to be a thing of the past. It’s time for the board to be more astute.

Hopefully, the departures of Denis Barrett-Baxendale and her partners in crime will stem the flow of daft decisions at Everton.
Babadi is more like it. He’s a player who could be picked up for a minimal fee due to his contract situation and then developed at Goodison Park.
We’ve seen clubs like Brentford and Brighton use their scouting networks brilliantly over the years gone by. Of course, it will be hard to replicate – but something different is required on Merseyside.
