BBC journalist shares if Bill Kenwright Everton exit imminent as talks continue with Farhad Moshiri
BBC journalist Shamoon Hafeez has shared the latest on Bill Kenwright’s future at Everton after a handful of boardroom resignations.
He wrote on 15 June that while talks continue with Farhad Moshiri, an exit is not imminent.
It’s understood that the fans want the Toffees chairman gone but are now awaiting the outcome of talks between him and the owner.

Hafeez wrote on Twitter, “Nothing imminent re. future of Bill Kenwright, I was told yesterday and again today.
“Everton chairman was minded to leave on Monday but we now await the outcome of talks with owner Farhad Moshiri.”
Circus
The two have made this football club a circus and the perfect time for Kenwright to step away was years ago.
However, he stuck to his cosy seat in the Goodison Park boardroom for decades and looked like he was stepping aside on Monday.
If he cared about Everton and their fans, he would’ve read the room and come out with a public statement apologising for the last few years and thanking them for continuing to believe in the club.

By doing this, he’s only added to their resentment and the ones who would’ve been sympathetic had he stepped aside at the start of the week will probably now not be so forgiving.
Everton supporters have been taken for a ride far too often by people running the club and it’s time that it needs to end.
There are multiple cases ongoing which has led to cause and with the recent alleged Profit and Sustainability breach, they run the risk of a points deduction as well.
