Done deal: Everton reach agreement to cover transition into new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock

Everton has confirmed that they will enter into an agreement with Ticketmaster to become the club’s official ticketing innovation partner ahead of the new season, as announced on the Toffees’ official website.

Crucially, the partnership will serve the move to the new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock which will mean season ticket holders have to choose a new vantage point to watch their team, as well as the added availability of tickets from the switch to the brand new venue with a greater capacity than Goodison Park.

The stadium is said to be on course for completion by the end of 2024, meaning Everton could move in at the mid-way point of the season after next.

The club statement announced new online features and tools for the supporters to use via Ticketmaster.

“The agreement will cover the Club’s transition to the new Everton Stadium, which is currently under construction and due for completion in the 2024/25 campaign,” it said.

“Ticketmaster has previously supported Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur with stadium moves and will now join the Blues on their journey from Goodison Park to a new 52,888-capacity home on Liverpool’s iconic waterfront.

The new partnership also means that, from next season, Evertonians will benefit from Ticketmaster’s advanced technology when purchasing tickets on evertonfc.com. This includes 3D Virtual Venue, an innovation that will bring Goodison – and later Everton Stadium – to life and enhance the user experience when purchasing tickets and selecting seats for the match.”

Another step

After the update yesterday, as featured by Goodison News, that the stadium is on track for completion by the end of next year, it is clear that things are progressing as intended.

What the club really needs is significant advances on the pitch, in order to create stability for the club to grow overall, in time for the move to the new home.

That is the pillar that will provide strength for everything else as various initiatives are put in place, for what will be a historic transition for the club.

This update on the partnership with Ticketmaster is another step on the road to what will be the future for all Evertonians at Bramley-Moore Dock but the present is just as important.

Further change is required and will happen, in the coming weeks to equip the club for the challenges of the new season in the Premier League and for Sean Dyche to lead the squad forward.
