Everton fans left in dark as self-imposed deadline missed amid Farhad Moshiri and Bill Kenwright talks
Everton fans have consistently asked for transparency from their hierarchy throughout the reign of Farhad Moshiri, but they have once again been left in the dark.
Earlier this week (12 June), the Toffees announced that chief executive Denies Barret-Baxendale, chief finance and strategy officer Grant Ingles, and non-executive director Graeme Sharp would all be leaving their posts on Merseyside.
Hidden in the second to last paragraph, the release added: “A statement will be made about interim appointments and the future of the Chairman in the next 48 hours.”

However, 48 hours have now been and gone, and still, no noise has surfaced from Goodison Park about the future of Kenwright and the outcome of his talks with Moshiri.
This self-imposed deadline has been completely ignored by Moshiri in yet another complete lie to the Everton faithful.
The Esk suggested (14 June) that the delayed departure of the 77-year-old was to allow him to take centre-stage upon the point of his departure, however, this would suggest that Moshiri is reading the room incorrectly once again.
Everton fans don’t want a fanfare upon the departure of Kenwright, despite all the years of work he has put into the club – they just want to move forward into a new era with no baggage holding them back.

Supporters have been protesting for his exit all season long at home games and are now awaiting the outcome of the talks between the owner and chairman patiently.
The sooner that a decision is made about Kenwright’s future, the sooner the club can start to plan for a prosperous future under new leadership at board level – even if Moshiri does remain in total control of the club.
However, the longer the silence continues, the more worried fans will become that the Iranian-born businessman is set to keep the Englishman in his role as chairman beyond this summer.
