New Everton footage emerges of Bramley-Moore Dock developments

Everton have revealed new footage of the north stand roof covering on the Bramley-Moore Dock stadium, as featured on the official club website.

The latest developments show the Toffees’ new home taking shape, slowly but surely, as the latest addition to the L3 skyline materialises.

The content provides an exciting look at what lies ahead for the Evertonians, with the new build said to be on course for completion by the end of 2024.

The update provided further descriptive detail on the work that is being carried out.

“Work is underway to clad the roof of the north stand at Everton Stadium,” it said.

“Initial sections of a standing seam roof system are in the process of being installed on top of the steel frame, which entails narrow sheets rolled off a coil in three long sections and connected together, providing weather protection to the stands.

“Eventually, this will be skinned with a perforated steel and aluminium roof, which will form the iconic roof at the waterfront stadium.”

Everton are planning to move from Goodison Park to their new stadium by 2025.

Gathering pace

There is plenty around the corner at Everton, hopefully, to be met with new optimism about matters on the pitch and off it.

Positive change is required in the boardroom to give the club direction and stability, whilst Sean Dyche will be tasked with guiding the squad forward, following the intense finish to last season when relegation to the Championship was avoided on the last day of the season.

A new season will bring the usual aspirations of hope from the supporters and then at the turn of the year, things will be gathering pace over at Bramley-Moore Dock with the stadium due to be completed within a 12-month plan, at that point.

That would throw up the possibility of the Blues moving home mid-season (2024-25) but a decision on that is still some way off.

For now, it is encouraging to see the new build unfold ahead of what will be a historic transition for all at Everton.
