Everton transfer news: Contact made to sign Leeds United star Tyler Adams
Everton have been in contact with Leeds United to sign yet another of their players in midfielder Tyler Adams, according to the Daily Mail.
The USMNT captain is in demand after the Whites were relegated from the Premier League, with Brighton the latest to enter the race with a possible £25million bid on the cards from the Amex.
But the Toffees have reportedly already got involved in the push to land the 24-year-old alongside the likes of Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa.

The news comes after Football Transfers reported on Sunday (18 June) that Everton were already in “ongoing talks” with Leeds over signing their two attacking stars Willy Gnonto and Jack Harrison, with the latter open to the move.
Opportunity
It appears that Sean Dyche is looking to take advantage of the misfortune that he steered his side away from and which ultimately fell on Elland Road, by signing players who would otherwise have been unavailable.
There had been reports that Leeds and the other relegations rivals were gearing up to sue Everton for as much as £100million each if they escaped the drop, thanks to the contested profit and sustainability referral from the Premier League [Daily Mail, 16 May].
While there has been a takeover in the weeks since at Leeds it would seem there is less animosity than previously suggested if the two clubs are in communication about doing transfer business, that itself has only come about due to the result of the relegation battle.

Harrison and Gnonto would appear to be of more immediate benefit to Dyche given his lack of wide attacking options since Anthony Gordon and Andros Townsend both left.
But interest in Adams could be an indication that there are genuine fears Amadou Onana will be sold this summer.
A price of as much as £60million has been mentioned for the Toffees’ Belgian star, so replacing him with the American for somewhere around half the price might be the sort necessary move that has to be made if the budget is that tight.
