Everton could be tempted into £10m move for Manchester United winger Anthony Elanga
Everton could be tempted into a move for Manchester United winger Anthony Elanga during the summer window, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The 21-year-old could be available for £10million during the off-season after falling down the pecking order at Old Trafford (Liverpool Echo, 21 June).
It’s believed United’s preference is still a loan but cash bids are likely to be considered for the Sweden international. Therefore a move for Elanga could present a “cheap” opportunity and much-needed squad depth for the Toffees.

Astute
We all knew the winger was a target during the January window, which means a move could well be on the cards over the coming months.
Elanga was once tipped to be the next big thing at Old Trafford but has severely fallen pecking order due to the impressive forward-thinking options Erik ten Hag has at his disposal. He’s at an age where he needs to be playing first-team football and a move to Goodison Park would provide that.

Evertonians would be excited by this addition. A new transfer policy needs to be implemented. Kevin Thelwell must look to target younger players who can be sold on for profit in the coming years. It will provide the Toffees with a means of running in a more sustainable manner.
Amadou Onana is the perfect example. The Belgium international moved to Merseyside for £30million, but is easily worth double that fee after an exceptional first season in the Premier League. If three or four of that calibre of players can be added during the summer, then positive change will finally occur at Everton.
