Everton interested in Fenerbahce ace Attila Szalai as price tag revealed
Everton are among a number of clubs interested in the signature of Fenerbahce ace Attila Szalai, according to Turkish outlet Star.
The publication noted that the 25-year-old central defender is also wanted by the likes of Valencia and Wolfsburg.
Szalai, who has 35 appearances for the Hungary national team, joined Fenerbahce from Apollon Limassol in 2021.

Everton, Valencia, Zenit and Wolfsburg are all interested in signing the defender this summer, with Anderlecht having already made a bid for the player, according to a report from Star.
The report added that Fenerbahce “want a transfer fee of approximately €20million for the 25-year-old Hungarian defender.”

Reinforcements needed
Everton are in desperate need of reinforcements all over the pitch, with the Toffees having been involved in back-to-back Premier League relegation battles.
Manager Sean Dyche will be desperate to make it three in a row, but he will be fully aware that such a scenario is very likely if the club do not get their act together this summer.
A handful of high-profile players could be on the move as they look for greener pastures, meaning Dyche has a huge job on his hands in recruiting both replacements and additions.
Everton’s lack of goals has been a real issue in recent times, but Dyche is well known for building strong defences and going from there, meaning Szalai could be one of the first names the manager tries to bring to Goodison Park in the coming months.
The 25-year-old centre-back made a massive 52 appearances for Turkish club Fenerbahce in all competitions this season.
