Alan Myers issues Sean Dyche-Everton sack update as development emerges
Sky Sports news editor Alan Myers has issued a clarification to reports linking Sean Dyche with the exit door at Everton.
According to the Sunday Mirror on 18 June, he was vulnerable to a sack at Goodison Park should Bill Kenwright leave the club for good.
However, Myers has clarified that on Twitter and allayed any fears that the Toffees fans had.
He wrote, “He’ll be staying.”
Good news
It makes no sense to part ways with Dyche now after he managed to keep Everton in the Premier League with no backing from the board.
A striker was needed in January and it was evident to everyone who followed the club but they still did not give him what he wanted.
It was a struggle, but he mustered some impressive results including wins against high-fliers Arsenal and Brighton which played a huge role in keeping them in the Premier League.

At Burnley, he’s proven that he can help his teams punch above their weight and has worked under tighter financial constraints before.
It’s now time for the board to back him with the signings as unlike Frank Lampard, he appears to have a clear tactical plan.
The team looks much more organised under his stewardship and his job is to stabilise the Toffees and finish as close to the top half as possible.
In other Everton news, a star player is very unhappy at the club and has made it clear that he wants to leave Goodison Park for good this summer.
