Tom Davies now days away from quitting Everton for good as Monza offer submitted
Everton midfielder Tom Davies is set to exit Goodison Park in a handful of days, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport (page 23, 22 June).
The publication added that Italian club Monza have submitted a bid for the 24-year-old, whose contract with the Toffees will expire at the end of the month.
Davies made just 20 appearances in all competitions this season for his boyhood club, where he has been since the age of 11.

“He will be released in a handful of days and, even if he has long negotiated a renewal with the club, the white smoke has not yet arrived,” according to La Gazzetta dello Sport (page 23, 22 June).
“Monza would have offered him a three-year contract and the Englishman would be concretely thinking about an adventure in Serie A to forget the last season in which he played little.”

Exciting opportunity
Davies has been with Everton for quite some time now, having progressed through the club’s youth ranks before his first-team career.
But he hasn’t exactly been a regular starter for the Toffees, with his time on Merseyside looking like gradually coming to an end this summer.
The midfielder was handed just 19 Premier League appearances this season as the Toffees only just managed to avoid relegation to the Championship.
While it would be an emotional farewell having been at the club for such a long time, a move to Italy represents a really exciting challenge for the 24-year-old, who can still go on to have a very successful career elsewhere.
It looks likely that Davies will again largely feature from the bench if he was to stay at Goodison Park next season, so a move away is definitely his best option.
His exit won’t exactly help manager Sean Dyche with finances for signing new players, but it will free up space in the squad and in the wage bill.
