Everton-linked Joel Robles sends two-word message as confirmed Goodison Park news emerges
Everton transfer target Joel Robles has sent Tom Davies a two-word message after the 24-year-old’s Goodison Park exit was confirmed.
The club confirmed on Thursday 22 June that Davies had turned down the chance to extend his contract and that he would be leaving at the end of the month.
Robles has since reacted on Instagram and wished the midfielder “good luck” for whatever his next challenge will be.

All the best
You’ll find it hard to locate one Evertonian who won’t be wishing Davies the best on his next move.
His career at Goodison Park is actually a fairly sad tale. He was once one of the club’s brightest prospects, but due to some poor decisions, he turned into a bit-part player, who desperately needed to move on to pastures new.
It wouldn’t be a surprise to see Davies end up at another Premier League club. Sheffield United have been linked and that move would make a lot of sense. The Blades are working on a tight transfer budget and could well be looking to the free-agent market.

He would be offered plenty of first-team chances in South Yorkshire – which is one of the main reasons behind his departure.
For the Everton board, they need to learn from this mistake. Davies should have been given a better platform to succeed. Instead, he’s been left to rot on the bench of a side that has been fighting for its life for the last two seasons.
It’s an error that cannot be made again.
