Neil Moxley slams ‘misguided’ Everton boardroom decision
The Sunday People’s Neil Moxley has slammed the board at Everton after it was revealed Bill Kenwright would remain at the club.
Kenwright has remained on the board after a number of key decision-makers, including Grant Ingles and Denise Barrett-Baxendale were removed from their posts.
Writing in his weekly column for the Sunday People, Moxley has slammed the decision from Farhad Moshiri.

“Staying on as the chairman for Everton. Another misguided decision. No good will come of this. For his own sanity and after 34 years on the Toffees’ board of directors, it’s high time he moved on,” wrote Moxley (Sunday People, pg 57, 25 June).
Change
Change is desperately required and Kenwright departing would instigate this.
Everton has not achieved the desired level of success on the pitch. A change in leadership is necessary to bring about better footballing operations at Goodison Park.
The financial issues and mismanagement of resources under Kenwright’s tenure have also been major issues. There are a number of potential court cases on the horizon which could plunge Everton into yet more trouble heading into the 2022/23 season.

New perspectives and ideas are required in the boardroom at Goodison Park. Unless significant change occurs over the course of the summer, it’s hard to envisage Everton avoiding another relegation battle next season. One thing that is absolutely certain is that the fans deserve so much more.
For too long, the negligent actions of a small few have impacted the always dedicated and loyal fanbase. Sean Dyche needs backing with smart and intelligent transfer decisions during the off-season.
However, considering Everton’s financial situation, one or two exits will likely have to occur during the summer.
