Everton transfer news as Demarai Gray tempted by ‘huge’ Saudi move
Everton are set to make a sizeable profit on Demarai Gray if he seals a move to the Saudi Pro League this summer, according to the Daily Mirror.
Al-Hilal have been linked with a transfer for the winger, while three unnamed Premier League clubs remain interested in his services.
The Daily Mail report states that a “huge” package has tempted the 26-year-old to potentially follow the likes of Ruben Neves, N’Golo Kante and Kalidou Koulibaly to the Saudi Pro League.

“Whatever Gray opts for, the Toffees are set to make a sizeable profit on the former Birmingham player who was signed two years ago for only £1.7million from Bayer Leverkusen,” they wrote. [26 June, back page and page 59]

Strange move
So far this summer, the Saudi Pro League have largely targeted players over the age of 30 and heading into the twilight years of their careers, so the interest in Gray came as a big surprise.
The winger has shown flashes of brilliance since his arrival at Goodison Park from Bayer Leverkusen, but he has never quite managed to nail down a regular first-team spot for one reason or another.
His undoubted quality was on show last season when he netted a sublime solo goal against Manchester City, and if he were to move away this summer, he would be sorely missed by Sean Dyche.
The Toffees are already short on attacking options heading into next season, and Gray’s potential exit would surely intensify the club’s pursuit of attackers in the summer transfer window.
For an original fee of £1.7million, Gray looks like a bargain whether he leaves Everton in the coming weeks or not.
