Everton to hunt ‘six-foot’ attacker within weeks as ‘financial constraints’ emerge
Everton could look to target a “six-foot” target man within the next couple of weeks, according to The Telegraph’s Chris Bascombe.
At present, Sean Dyche has Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Ellis Simms and Neal Maupay as his strike options heading into the new campaign.
However, Bascombe doesn’t expect that to be the case for long with another physical forward on the cards for the former Burnley boss.

“Sean Dyche’s greatest need is for a target man to join Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Expect Everton to be linked with any one of pedigree over six foot in the coming weeks,” he said.
“But Dyche must also be on his guard regarding bids for star players as he works within financial constraints.”
Desperately needed
Strikers, strikers and more strikers are desperately required at Goodison Park.
For too long Everton have been completely limp in attacking areas. Calvert-Lewin has flattered to deceive for far too long now. The England international has been plagued by injuries far too often for it to be a coincidence.
Yes, it’s bad luck, but unfortunately, the board now need to target a forward who can stay fit for a significant number of games.

The Mail claim on 26 June, that Everton have “still” been talking about El-Bilal Toure. Almeria’s striker has long been on the club’s radar, but, to date, no bid has been lodged.
It appears that finances are going to be a sticking point once again. It’s highly unlikely for Everton’s transfer business to get going until there have been one or two exits.
Amadou Onana would be the most obvious choice. The 21-year-old is without a doubt the Toffees’ most valuable asset and he could be sold to generate funds for the summer window.
