Everton transfer news as Willy Gnonto wanted from Leeds United immediately
Everton are strongly interested in Leeds United forward Willy Gnonto this summer and want to sign him “immediately”, according to Gazzetta Dello Sport.
The 19-year-old sensation swiftly rose to prominence among the Elland Road support since his summer move from FC Zurich, registering two goals and four assists from 23 Premier League games as the Whites suffered relegation.
And the Toffees are looking to take advantage of that with FootballTransfers reporting on 18 June that Everton were in ongoing talks for a summer move for the Italian wizard and his Elland Road teammate Jack Harrison.

And according to Italian newspaper Gazzello Dello Sport newspaper [27 June, page 10], both Everton and Serie A side Fiorentina are both evaluating the transfer opportunity and are desperate to sign him immediately.
Game-changer
The 19-year-old has indeed enjoyed a stellar first season in England, contributing four goals and four assists in 23 appearances in all competitions but more crucially possesses amazing trickery, 1v1 dribbling, pace and technical skill to unlock even the best defences in the Premier League.
Everton are desperately short of attacking options after selling Richarlison and Anthony Gordon for big money over the past two windows and could be set for more departures this summer to raise funds with the likes of Neal Maupay, Alex Iwobi, Demarai Gray and Amadou Onana all attracting interest and wishing to leave Goodison Park.

The Toffees can seriously make a statement by snapping up Gnonto’s services this summer as he possesses all the tools to become a consistent and established Premier League hit, making him a desperate pull for Everton and rightly so.
However, the Blues must ensure the team is ready for his arrival possessing the players and characters in the dressing room to ensure the 19-year-old is best placed to thrive immediately.
Gnonto’s form tailed off considerably last season, but through no fault of his own but Leeds United’s desperate plight and if Everton don’t get themselves together this summer, they can forget about this game-changing acquisition.
