Emergency funding helps Bramley-Moore Dock pressure on Everton
Emergency funding from Andy Bell and MSP Sports Capital has alleviated pressure on Everton and their construction of the Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium, according to The Esk.
Everton majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri has been seeking fresh investment for the Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium for the last few months, with The Athletic reporting that MSP Sports Capital have already spent £40million to help.
And Bell, founder of financial platform AJ Bell, and a lifelong Toffees supporter, has now contributed to help to solve the “emergency” situation on Merseyside.

The Esk wrote: “Moshiri’s inability and unwillingness (despite the assurances to the auditors) to go beyond the £70million he injected earlier in the financial year, the operational performance of the business and the incessant capital demands of Bramley-Moore was pushing us to the limit.
“The emergency (I don’t use that word lightly) funding from Andy Bell and also a smaller contribution from MSP has reduced the immediate pressure.
“Stadium payments are in line with agreements and the work continues.”

Great news
Moshiri has been seeking investment in the stadium for months now, so the news that he has willing investors is brilliant to hear and could create a positive domino effect in other areas of the club.
The last thing that supporters would have wanted to hear was a delay in the construction of their new stadium, but it seems like this money has kept proceedings on track for now.
MSP are now funding the stadium, so Moshiri should be able to turn his attention to bolstering the first-team squad in the summer transfer window.
Sean Dyche is in dire need of attacking reinforcements over the coming months, and hopefully, the reduced pressure on the stadium can allow the club to focus on these needs.
Everton can’t afford a third consecutive battle against relegation, and new faces this summer should help to edge them away from such trouble.
In other Everton news, the Toffees could look to include Ellis Simms in their own transfer deals, as he looks set to leave this summer.
