Everton want to sign Sheffield United starlet Daniel Jebbison as Juventus and Borussia Dortmund enter the race
Everton want to sign Sheffield United starlet Daniel Jebbison this summer as he enters the final 12 months of his contract, according to 90min (29 June).
19-year-old Jebbison shone for the Blades as they earned promotion to the Premier League, and has attracted interest from the likes of Borussia Dortmund and Juventus.
But the Toffees are a club who have been earmarked as having “strong” and “huge” interest in the striker, with Sean Dyche keen to bolster his squad ahead of the new season.
“Some of Europe’s biggest clubs are ready to battle for the signature Sheffield United starlet Daniel Jebbison, who is entering the final 12-months of his current deal, 90min understands,” they wrote.
“It is understood a number of clubs were watching him closely during the recent Under-20 World Cup, where he featured in three of England’s four games.
“There is also huge interest within the Premier League too, with Newcastle, Tottenham, Everton and Aston Villa also keeping close tabs on the situation.”
Talent
Everton need a first-team ready striker who can step into the shoes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and replace Neal Maupay.
When it comes to young talent we already have Ellis Simms and Tom Cannon who want to step up and make things happen if given the opportunity, and Jebbison is unlikely to be able to step up very quickly.

He’s also unlikely to be a very cheap option, despite the vulnerabilities at Sheffield United right now over their ownership and the lack of transfer activity that is going to happen right now.
With that said, Jebbison is a top young talent and could be seen as one for the future if Simms is allowed to leave amid interest from elsewhere.
They’ll have to beat off plenty of competition for his signature and it’ll be a hard deal to do, but Dyche is clearly keen on adding to his attacking options for the new season.
